Private investigator jailed for 15 months in Trojan horse case

The Tel Aviv District Court sentenced private investigator Eliezer Pilosof to 15 months in prison after he was convicted of installing Trojan horse software into several companies' computers.
Pilosof, who confessed to the charges, was also given a NIS 50,000 fine.
In addition, investigator Alex Weinstein was convicted of committing a similar offense in 33 companies, including the cable company Hot, the book-store chain Steimatzky, the Eden water company and the Globes business newspaper.
On Wednesday, the Israel Prisons Service Parole Committee rejected the appeal of the program's developer, Ruth Haefrati, to cut her four-year jail sentence by a third.
