Report: Cadets in commanders' course ousted for disrespecting Rabin

Cadets in a Golani Brigade commanders' course were ousted from the fighting corps after showing disrespect for the memory of former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin. According to a report Tuesday on Army Radio, the two soldiers were watching a film surveying Israel's history, and, during a lengthy segment devoted to the 1995 assassination of Rabin, stood up and clapped. The soldiers were immediately court-martialed and sent to 10 days imprisonment. They were then expelled for the fighting core of the brigade.
