Rock-throwing haredim wound policeman in J'lem

A policeman was lightly wounded on Sunday afternoon when he was struck by rocks thrown by haredim in Shabbat Square in Jerusalem. The ultra-orthodox demonstrators were protesting the rerouting of public transportation through the Mea Shearim neighborhood because of the construction of the light rail. Army Radio reported that Shabbat Square and Strauss Street were closed to traffic.
