Israeli ambassador to the US, Sallai Meridor, told reporters in Washington that IAF strikes in the Gaza Strip are a restrained response and that Israel was likely to take additional steps, Israel Radio reported early Saturday morning.
Meridor clarified that the response to continued Kassam rocket fire was reserved and that Israel understands the "game played by the other team" and is examining other forms of response.
The situation is fragile and dangerous, warned Meridor, and it was likely that other moves would be made in the near future according to circumstances.
