Sderot 'mailwomen' get relief from Kassam anxiety

All Israel Postal Company mail deliverers in Sderot -- all of whom are women -- have been supplied by their employer with cellphones so they can inform their worried families that they are all right and check on their husbands and children after Kassam rocket attacks. They will also get a set number of free phone calls for this purpose. Postal Company Director-General Avi Hochman said that until now, after every rocket attack in the town, mail deliverers have anxiously run to the nearest public phone to call their families. Mail sorting and delivery are continuing normally in Sderot despite the abnormal conditions, said Hochman, who made the decision after visiting postal facilities in the Negev development town.
