Second aviation accident narrowly avoided at Haifa airport

An aviation accident was narrowly avoided Sunday when a military helicopter and a small passenger plane attempted to land on the same runway at the Haifa airport, Channel 10 reported.
It was not clear whether the error had been made by air traffic controllers or one of the pilots. The incident was being investigated.
The landing strip was the same one used by a light aircraft on Thursday when it crashed into an empty military structure, killing three passengers.
