Sex offender escapes psychiatric institution in Pardes Hannah

A sex offender committed at the Neveh Shalva psychiatric institution in Pardes Hannah escaped overnight Wednesday, police reported.
Police said 21-year-old David Akalah, an Ethiopian immigrant, was on medication and constituted a danger to the public.
Akalah was described as 1.83m in height, dark skinned and bearing a scratch mark over his right eye.
