Jan. 18: Doctors replace a breathing tube to correct a technical problem.
Feb. 1: Sharon undergoes a gastronomy to insert a feeding tube in his stomach. The procedure indicates that doctors are preparing Sharon for long-term care.
Feb. 11: Sharon undergoes emergency surgery after an abdominal scan reveals severe damage to his digestive track. Hospital officials warn his life is in danger.
