Soldiers at the "Kfir" Brigade training base who objected to carrying out orders to evacuate the Hebron wholesale market, will be tried in a military court.
Two squad commanders and 10 other soldiers stated that they would refuse to carry out their orders.
OC Central Command, Maj.-Gen. Gadi Shamni, decided that the soldiers in question will stand disciplinary trials and will be removed from combat duty. Shamni stated that "this phenomenon
endangers the foundations on which the IDF operates, being the people's army in a democratic state, which is obligated to carry out any mission given to it."
