Specialty police units take control of lawyer car bombing investigation

New undisclosed findings in the police investigation into the car bomb slaying of lawyer Yoram Hacham have led police to hand over the investigation to the organized crimes specialty unit, Lahav 433, and to the National Serious and International Crimes Unit, Israel Police announced on Tuesday. Hacham was killed in a car bombing earlier this month while driving along Tel Aviv's busy Yigal Alon Street. A court imposed media-ban prevents the release of the new findings, but police said the decision was made following a situation appraisal meeting attended by Tel Aviv District Police Commander Cmdr. Ilan Franco and Israel Police Investigations Head Cmdr. Yochanan Danino.
