State Attorney opposes Nahum Manbar's release

The State Attorney's Office opposes an early release of Nahum Manbar, Tuesday. At the end of a meeting between State Attorney Eran Shendar and officials in the security establishment the sides decided to request from the Israel Prison Service (IPS) to postpone the discussion regarding deducing a third of Manbar's sentence to allow the Mossad to form a detailed opinion. Manbar was sentenced to 16 years imprisonment after he was convicted for trading chemical and military equipment with Iran. The IPS said that Manbar has a clean record of behavior and that he was released for his regular vacations.
