By JPOST.COM STAFF
The State Attorney's Office announced late Thursday that it would call in for questioning 14 senior managers in Bank Leumi before filing indictments against them for allegedly granting favors in exchange for purchases of trust funds.
As for 12 junior workers at the bank, the prosecutors decided to come to an agreement in which they would be punished through disciplinary measures alone.
According to Israel Radio, the bank raised funds upwards of NIS 2 billion through the granting of illegal favors to advisors who convinced their customers to purchase trust funds.
