Steinitz appoints Ariav as temporary replacement for Belinkov

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz on Sunday appointed Yarom Ariav, the ministry's director-general, to serve as its budget supervisor as well. Yarom agreed to fill both posts temporarily, until Steinitz finds a permanent replacement for Ram Belinkov. Belinkov resigned on Wednesday in protest over the budget deal struck between the government and the Histadrut Labor Federation, which bypassed the Treasury's proposals.
