Students blocked one of Haifa University's campus entrances on Wednesday as part of a nationwide strike on Wednesday held by the National Union of Israeli Students to protest the establishment of the Shochat Committee examining the future of higher education.
At least nine institutions were participating in the strike including Tel Aviv University, Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the University of Haifa, Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba, Wingate College, the College of Management, Western Galilee College, Bezalel Academy and Judea and Samaria College in Ariel.
