Teachers, Treasury to resume talks at 4 p.m.

Negotiations between the Secondary School Teachers Organization and the government were set to resume at 4 p.m. Sunday at Histadrut Labor Federation head Ofer Eini's office. Education Minister Yuli Tamir, SSTO head Ran Erez, and senior Treasury officials were set to take part in the talks. Israel Radio quoted SSTO officials as saying that the sides had moved closer on the question of teachers' salaries, and now had to work on reducing the number of pupils per class and restoring teaching hours cut in recent years.
