Tiberias burglar incriminated by own kippa

A 40-year-old Tiberias resident was arrested for breaking and entering into two local apartments. Police said that his arrest was only possible because his kippa fell off during the course of the beak-in. Police recovered the incriminating kippa and sent it for DNA testing at the national headquarters. Police arrested the suspect on Monday evening on the basis of that genetic evidence. His remand will be extended later Tuesday at the Tiberias Magistrate's Court where he also received a prosecutorial warning that an indictment was forthcoming. Prosecutors recommended that he be jailed until the conclusion of the proceedings against him.
