The cabinet approved on Sunday two changes to senior positions in the Northern District Police.
Former Traffic Police head Cmdr. Shahar Ayalon was approved to replace retiring Cmdr. Dan Ronen as district commander, and Zevulun police station commander Jamal Harchush was promoted to Asst.-Cmdr. Harchush is the first Muslim to achieve this rank.
