A train traveling north from Ashkelon on Monday afternoon was forced to make an emergency stop after a truck stalled on the tracks.
An initial investigation revealed that the truck stalled due to a mechanical problem, and the driver managed to escape his vehicle in time.
Some 100 railway passengers were moved to another train.
