Trial of IDF officer suspected of spying for Iran begins in TA court

The trial of Maj. David Shamir (res), an IDF officer who is suspected of spying for Iran, began Tuesday morning in Tel Aviv District Court.
Shamir's attorney, Amnon She'alti'el, said during the deliberation that his client wishes to arrive at a plea agreement with the prosecution.
