IDF troops killed a senior member of the Hamas military wing, Izzadin al-Kassam, in a pre-dawn raid in Tulkarm.
One soldier was very lightly wounded as the terrorist tried shooting his way out of the house, which was surrounded by the troops.
An explosives lab was found during a search of the area following the battle.
A Hamas official told Al-Jazeera Tuesday morning that the group would retaliate to the killing.
