Troops shoot, lightly wound Palestinian near Jenin

An IDF force operating in the Jenin area shot and lightly wounded a Palestinian during an arrest operation Sunday morning. During the operation soldiers noticed the man was behaving suspiciously and called on him a number of times to remain at a distance, then shot in the air when he continued to close on them, and finally shot the man in his lower body after he did not heed their warnings. The Palestinian was taken for treatment at a hospital in Tulkarm, while none of the soldiers were wounded during the operation.
