A garage owner in Umm el-Fahm was shot dead in his business premises on Sunday, in what police are calling an "ongoing feud" between clans.
The 41-year-old homicide victim was declared dead by Magen David Adom paramedics who were called to the scene. A second man identified as the victim's brother was beaten and suffered light wounds by the attackers.
"A number of gunmen appeared on the scene and opened fire. This is not a business-related dispute but an ongoing feud," a police spokesman told The Jerusalem Post.
The investigation into the shooting was launched by Deputy Commander of Valleys Police, Asst.-Cmdr. Dudu Ben-Atiya. It was then passed on to the Central Unit of Valleys police.
A 24-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in Umm el-Fahm on Saturday. Police said there was no connection between the two attacks. The man was evacuated to the Haemek Hospital in Afula by paramedics and is said to be in stable condition.
