US weighs proposal on captured IDF soldiers

Congress was weighing a decision on Tuesday to call for the immediate release of kidnapped IDF soldiers Gilad Shalit, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, Israel Radio reported on Tuesday night. The proposal was submitted by Representative members Gali Ackermann from the Democrat party and Eliana Rosleightman from the Republican party. The event at Capitol Hill was attended by Israeli ambassadors Sallai Meridor and Dan Gillerman as well as Ehud Goldwasser's wife, Karnit Goldwasser. Tom Lantos, another representative said that terrorists may have succeeded in killing several innocent people, referring to Monday's suicide bombing in Eilat, but in the end they will fall.
