Watchdog organization to petition High Court against Hizbullah deal

The High Court of Justice is due on Wednesday to hear a petition filed by the watchdog organization Shurat Hadin , against the government decision to carry out a prisoner exchange with Hizbullah. The organization, represented by Nitzana Darshan-Leitner, is protesting the government's agreement to provide Hizbullah with a report on four Iranians who disappeared after being kidnapped by Christian Falangists in 1982, during the first Lebanon War. Shurat Hadin called on the court to order the state to demand from Hizbullah in return information regarding 12 Iranian Jews who tried to escape from Iran and immigrate to Israel in 1994. They disappeared and have not been heard from since.
