Winograd C'tee hears Bibi, Weisglass testimonies

The Winograd Committee investigating the conduct of the war in the north heard testimony on Thursday from former prime minister and opposition leader MK Binyamin Netanyahu [Likud] and advisor to former prime minister Ariel Sharon Attorney Dov Weisglass. Netanyahu was asked about the strategic doctrine governing Israeli policy in the north during his premiership between 1996 to 1999 and was asked for his assessments of the policy of restraint during Sharon's premiership during which he was a senior cabinet member. Weisglass who frequently traveled to foreign capitals as a personal emissary of Sharon was asked about the decision making process in the Sharon government
