Winograd C'tee refuses to let PM testify twice

The Winograd Committee rejected Thursday a request made by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to give a second testimony regarding the Second Lebanon War. A second request made by Olmert, to be given all other testimonies heard by the committee so that he could defend himself, was also rejected. Retired judge Eliyahu Winograd, who heads the team charged with investigating last summer's war, gave no reason for the decision in a short letter of response to the prime minister.
