Youth stabbed to death in Ness Ziona

In Lod, drunken man opens fire on taxi cab.

Hai Ben-Shimon, 24, was stabbed to death outside of his home in Ness Ziona early on Saturday following a dispute with other young men.
Ben-Shimon was taken to Assaf Harofe Medical Center in Tzrifin, but died en route.
Police believe the stabbing resulted from a dispute among criminals. Ben-Shimon had served time in prison for property theft and fraud.
Senior commanders from the Rishon Lezion police station and the Shfela police sub-district arrived following the stabbing and arrested six people on suspicion of being linked to the murder. The investigation is being headed by the Central District’s Central Unit.
Ben-Shimon’s family said he was planning on marrying his girlfriend soon. She was questioned by police as a witness to the slaying.

Meanwhile, in Lod, a drunken man arrived at a taxi office atapproximately 1:30 a.m. and ordered a cab to Tel Aviv. An argumentbroke out between the passenger and driver, resulting in the driverejecting the man from the vehicle. The passenger then pulled out afirearm and fired several shots at the car.
Police arrested a 30-year-old suspect, and identified three bullet holes in the taxi.
In Haifa, a 61-year-old was stabbed in leg in what police aredescribing as a feud between families. He was rushed to Rambam MedicalCenter with stab wound. “We plan on making arrests in thisinvestigation,” a Haifa police spokesman said.
