Israeli man stabbed to death by Australian gang

An Israeli man was stabbed to death by a gang of men who cornered him outside a store at Sydney's Bondi Beach, police and local media reported Sunday. New South Wales state police said they found the 36-year-old man, whose identity was not immediately released, slumped outside a convenience store late Saturday suffering from multiple stab wounds. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital but died several hours later, police said in a statement. Vic Alhadeff, head of the Jewish Board of Deputies, said local residents had identified the man as Israeli, but that the attack did not appear to be related to the conflict in Lebanon.
