A Molotov cocktail was hurled at a synagogue in Saint Denis, a suburb in the northern part of Paris, Israel Radio reported.
No one was hurt in the incident Sunday evening but a restaurant adjacent to the synagogue caught fire.
The fire was contained before spreading.
Eye witnesses said they saw three men escaping the scene.
