EV Motors, an importer of electric vehicles, plans to unveil the first two models sold in Israel by China’s WM Motors. Shanghai-based WM Motors chose Israel to be one of the first countries in the world where its vehicles will be marketed.

The WM models are to be shown at the Israel Motor Show at the Expo Tel Aviv conference center next week.

WM is owned by technology giants Xiaomi, Tencent (owner of the social network WeChat) and Baidu (Chinese Google).

The first two models to be marketed in Israel are the WM EX5Z and the WM W6, EV Motors said in a press release. They are expected to go on sale in Israel in September, EV Motors chairman Ohad Seligman said, adding that consumer prices have not yet been set.

EV Motors imports electric vehicles from leading manufacturers in the field of private and commercial vehicles and public transportation. It is the first Israeli importer to specialize in electric vehicles only.

EV Motors also focuses on green and sustainable energy solutions for charging electric vehicles, including smart chargers (regular and fast) and is working on the construction of dozens of charging stations.

“EV Motors has made it its motto to lead the electric vehicle revolution in Israel and is pleased to market the WM vehicles, which are at the forefront of technology and quality of electric vehicles,” Seligman said. “I am glad that out of all the importers who competed for the representation of WM Motor in Israel, EV Motors was chosen to be one of the first in the world to market these advanced vehicles.”
