Top 5: Election-themed parties in Tel Aviv

The city that never sleeps is taking advantage of Election Day by hosting a number special midweek parties.

While politicians and party activists will be working harder than ever on Monday evening through Tuesday to convince people to vote in the elections, the majority of the country will be taking it easy as Election Day has been declared a national holiday. Instead of having an early night to wake up fresh for the day's election excitement, a lot of Israelis will be taking advantage of the extra day off in the middle of the week by attending special election parties Monday evening.
With Tel Aviv being Israel's capital of fun, it only makes sense that the majority of Election Day events in the country would be taking place in the city's famous clubs.
The Block
Perhaps one of the biggest and most publicized parties that's taking place at The Block. In honor of Election Day, the legendary club is bringing together a number of the top DJs and producers in the city for a unique night that will spread over all three floors. Some of the DJs that will hit the decks include Ofri Goffer, Yarin Lidor and Tami Bibring.

Notorious at OCD Regular gay line Notorious at OCD (formerly known as Lima Lima) will be hosting a special version of its popular night with an election special aptly named "Election Erection."
Taking advantage of the fact that many people will not have to work the next day, party-goers will have the option of taking advantage of an all-you-can-drink bar. The extensive bar menu is broken down into different price brackets with Goldstar beer, white and red wine, Lambrussco and Cava costing NIS 62 and more expensive options for higher quality alcohols costing NIS 66, NIS 88, NIS 107 and NIS 170 respectively.
DJ Emy will play his usual mix of hip hop, soul and funky music from 11 p.m. until late.

Hangar 17
Schools will also have the day off on Tuesday, so with that in mind, Hangar 17 will be hosting a huge election party with six acts on two separate dance floors. Among those performing will be DJ Ido Shoam, DJ Itay Kalderon, The Barbies and Franklin. The event, which is open to teenagers between 15 and 18, will be secured in conjunction with Israel Police.

Seven Eleven
The multi-sexual crowd at Seven Eleven will be celebrating the elections with a special night of music and dancing. Party-goers will have the chance to choose what songs they want to hear by posting requests on the event page.

Haoman 17
Haoman 17 is promising the kind of party that only comes about every four years. While politicians promise more security, better education and cheaper prices, the legendary club is promising better quality parties. "Minister of Music" DJ Yohan will be spinning the tunes at the mega-event, complete with voting boxes inside the club to decide the music.
