Haifa's rabbinical court has been asked to rule on an unusual issue, reports Yediot Haifa. A man has filed for divorce on the grounds that his wife is cross-eyed and as a result he no longer desires her. But the wife is arguing that her crossed eyes are no reason to grant a divorce, and that in any case the affliction did not bother him for the 15 years of their marriage and he even found it "attractive." The wife says it is the husband's eyes that are crossing - over to another woman. No response was reported from the rabbis, who are undoubtedly eyeing the case with care before crossing off any options.
