City to return NIS 2m. to landowners

The city of Hod Hasharon will have to return NIS 2 million in "improvement fees" to local landowners after the district court ruled that it had overcharged them in a planned building project, reports www.local.co.il. A local court had already ruled that the fees were too high, but the city's planning and construction committee appealed against the ruling to the district court, which upheld the lower court's decision and said the money should be returned to the landowners. The report also said that work on the planned 4,300-unit project, on the border of Hod Hasharon and Kfar Malal, is expected to begin soon.
