With the holidays almost over, it is time to let your hair down, try new shades for the coming season, pamper yourself and relax with a really good cup of coffee. Have fun!
Three minute miracle
The new Elvive 3-in-1 shampoo for fine hair provides three actions – cleaning, conditioning and grooming in one gentle sulfate-free formula. The three new shampoos – for dyed hair, for dry hair and for damaged hair, provide all three actions that otherwise call for three different products, in one gentle, non-foaming product. I tried the Total Repair shampoo for damaged hair and loved it – it is quick, and yet the hair feels nourished as if I had used a mask. Massage into wet hair for three minutes and wash while “combing” the hair with your fingers. NIS 29.90
Lovely in pink
Maybelline has launched a new mascara – enriched with coconut oil for easier application and control, as well as the coconut oil’s known benefits to skin and hair. The new mascara has a thick application brush that lets you control the effect easily, and has a lovely pink casing. NIS 40
Extra shine
New from L’Oréal Paris’s Colour Riche line is the Colour Riche Shine, lipsticks with extra shiny finish that make lips look fuller, in 12 new and trendy shades. We especially like the nude one, but try also the trendy pinks. NIS 44.90
The French way
The French natural cosmetic company Qiriness is now available in Israel. Based on herbal essences and seaweed formulas, Qiriness offers a full range of spa treatments for the face especially created to respond to the needs of different skin types: cleansing, exfoliation, hydration, anti-aging and more. Qiriness was founded in 2004 by Mi-Ryung Beilvert, who learned the importance of skin care from her mother in Korea. Passionate about cosmetology, beauty and well-being, she created a brand that offers efficient cosmetic treatments.
Selling all over the world, the brand’s products are now available for Israeli women, among them enzymatic peeling cream, body wraps, bath products, cloth masks and much more. Prices range between NIS 162.90 for a thermal cleansing mask, NIS 17.90 for cloth mask, 10 Bath balls for NIS 157.90, anti-aging serum for NIS 429.90 and more. Available at Hamashbir and Super-Pharm stores.
Quick and effective
The new Photo Edit Eye Shadow Trio by Smashbox is ultra-rich in pigments and will help you achieve a perfect eye makeup effect in minutes. The eye shadow trios come in a range of neutral shades that make it easy to blend and create a day-to-night look to compliment your skin shade. Start with a base shade all over the top eye lid area, and use darker shades in the fold and along the lashes. NIS 119, available in April stores as well as Smashbox stores.
Fine contour
B Cosmic, the brand led by local makeup artist Yossi Biton, has added a contouring palette to its line, for those who have mastered the art of shaping the face using dark and light shades. Made out of three high-cover concealers, the product is very rich in micro powders that guarantee good coverage with a very thin layer. The natural oils also provide glow and long wear. NIS 250, available in the brand’s shops and online at www.tbmakeup.com
Prime and ready
Smashbox has introduced yet another product we never knew we needed – primer spray, created together with beauty artist and blogger Nicol Concilio. The primer spray leaves the skin glowing and ready for makeup. The spray also fixes makeup for a fresh look all day long. The spray comes in three scents – Serene Green with cucumber for a fresh and relaxed feel, So Chill Coconut and Centering Citrus. During the summer keep the spray in the refrigerator for a cooling effect. NIS 165, available at April stores and Smashbox stores in malls.
Stop the itching
La Roche-Posay has extended its Lipikar line, adding a Lipikar stick for an immediate relief of irritated dry skin. The stick, about the size of a small deodorant, can be carried in a purse or baby bag to be used when needed. Made from shea butter, which nourishes the skin while creating a buffer layer that protects it, mixed with anti-bacterial zinc, which eliminates the danger of bacterial infection, and Madecassoside, which helps reducing the itching and calming the skin, the Lipikar AP+ is suitable for all ages, including babies, and for face and body. Dermatologically tested for 100% sensitive skin. NIS 70, available in pharmacies.
Shimmering palette
Another winner by Maybelline is its new Total Temptation eye and cheek palette. Offering eight different shadows and rich in pigments, the palette contains golden and metal shimmer, pearly-pink blush and more for endless combinations and results – from daily and light to evening and dramatic. NIS 45.
Soft hands
After the holidays and the endless meals, my hands really needed an especially rich hand cream to repair all the damage done to the skin. The new Kamedis hand cream, based on a formula rich in herbal ingredients, immediately relieves itching and softens skin. The herbal scent is wonderful, and when used every evening for a week, the cream really treated dry skin effectively. The cream contains no parabens and has been dermatologically tested. Priced at NIS 30 normally, but you can purchase it online for NIS 24. Or get it free when spending NIS 250 or more in the company’s online store: www.kamedis.co.il
Heat protection
TRESemmé, an American leading hair-care brand, introduces a protective spray for the illumination of damage caused to the hair by heat and chemicals. For soft, supple hair, use the spray before styling. The spray contains African Marula oil, which helps releasing hair knots and frizz. Available at Super-Pharm stores.
Straight from the origin
You can tour the world in search of your favorite coffee, or wait for Nespresso to do it for you. Its newest collection, Master Origin, offers coffee blends from five coffee origins – Ethiopia, Colombia, Indonesia, Nicaragua and India – picked, processed and roasted according to each country’s tradition. The Indonesian is 100% Arabica, processed in the wet-hulled technique which offers rich and full body. The Ethiopian blend Arabica coffee beans are processed in the age-old natural way, drying them in the sun. The result is a coffee with sweet aromas. The Indian blend, made from Robusta Monsoon beans, is spicy and strong, while the Nicaraguan coffee is made using a technique called Black Honey, and results in smooth and aromatic coffee, while the Colombian blend is more fruity and lively.
