4 indicted in Beirut on German terror plot charges

Four Lebanese citizens were indicted in Beirut on Saturday night on suspicion of planning to commit two terrorist attacks in Germany.
The four allegedly plotted to plant explosives on two trains in Cologne at the beginning of August. The attacks were averted when the explosives failed to detonate.
Israel Radio reported that two additional suspects, a Lebanese and a Syrian, were under arrest in Germany on suspicion of involvement in the plot.
Head of German Foreign Intelligence (BND) Ernst Uhrlau was sent to Beirut to request from the Lebanese leadership that the four suspects be extradited to stand trial in Germany.
