Some 9,000 Palestinians marched to the Rafah crossing after Friday prayers to protest the continued closure of the Gaza Strip.
Demonstrators pushed at a gate separating Gaza and Egypt and threw rocks, but were repelled by Hamas police guarding the area.
"This is a warning, and the last plea - Gaza will not accept anymore closures," said Ashraf Abu Daya, a Hamas official.
