Abbas' personal physician says PA leader is healthy

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' private physician said Monday that the leader is fit, and dismissed concerns about his heart condition sparked by last week's medical procedures. Dr. Abdullah al-Bashir said he performed an angiogram on Abbas last Thursday in Jordan to check for blocked blood vessels, but no problems were found. Abbas was promptly discharged afterward. The doctor said Monday the procedure was incorrectly reported as angioplasty at the time it was performed.
