Al-Qaida's No. 2 leader, Ayman al-Zawahri, released a videotape in which he said that early elections in the Palestinian Authority would not help liberate Palestine and would only harm the jihad against Israel.
In the videotape released to the Al-Jazeera network, al-Zawahri said: "Any path which is not a holy war would lead us to defeat."
