Annan visits Jordan, condemns attacks in Amman

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan visited Jordan Friday morning after nearly canceling the trip because of Wednesday's triple bombing in Amman. In a joint press conference with Jordan's foreign minister, he stated that no ideology could justify killing of innocents. The UN General Assembly was working to compile a worldwide strategy for fighting terrorism, he added, according to Israel Radio. The secretary general was also scheduled to meet Jordan's King Abdullah II before continuing to Tunisia and Pakistan.
