Qatar held funerals for the six killed in the Israeli airstrike on Doha that targeted Hamas officials on Tuesday, London-based Asharq al-Awsat reported on Thursday.
The funeral was attended by the emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
According to the report, the funeral was held for five Hamas members, who were not named, and one Qatari security officer.
The coffin of the Qatari security official was draped with the Qatari flag, while the Hamas members' coffins were covered in Palestinian flags.
Asharq al-Awsat added that some roads in Doha were closed, especially in the vicinity of the mosque.
Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani criticized Netanyahu's decision to strike Qatar on Wednesday during an interview with CNN, saying that "Netanyahu is leading the Middle East to chaos."
Qatar says there are ongoing discussions over responding to Israel's attack
The Qatari prime minister added that Qatari officers were injured in the Israeli attack on Doha and are in critical condition. Additionally, Qatar is reassessing "everything" about its mediating role and Hamas's future in Gaza.
Al Thani said that "Netanyahu has been wasting Qatar's time by engaging in mediation," and that there are ongoing discussions over a response, in coordination with regional partners.
