Middle East envoy Tony Blair says the peace process is in jeopardy and Israel must fully support the goal of living in peace next to an independent Palestinian state.
He says, "We face a situation of very great jeopardy for the peace process. There are decisions that have to be taken now."
The new government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken office pledging to seek peace with its neighbors but without endorsing the goal of an independent Palestinian state.
Blair told reporters at the EU Wednesday that the next six months will be critical for the stalled process.
