Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas may meet with George W. Bush when the US president visits Jordan on Wednesday, a senior adviser to the Palestinian leader said Monday.
"It's possible. I think he (Abbas) is going to Amman," Saeb Erekat, an Abbas confidant, told Army Radio.
Erekat also said Abbas hoped a cease-fire that took hold in the Gaza Strip on Sunday could be expanded to include the West Bank.
"I hope that we are going to move in the next two days to have similar arrangements in the West Bank," Erekat said in the radio interview.
