Aliya and Integration Minister Yoav Gallant commented on Saturday regarding the recent affairs with Syria, Iran, and Russia.
"The State of Israel has a plan to expel the Iranians from Syria," Gallant said. "Israel is using intelligence, diplomatic, security, and military components."
"The real reason that Iran is not in the Golan Heights lies in the fact that the State of Israel is working to prevent this with help from its allies," Gallant continued.
On Monday, IDF fighter jets struck Iranian and Syrian military targets, air defense batteries and Quds Forces positions throughout Syria in the predawn hours of Monday, in response to the firing of a missile a day earlier toward the Golan Heights.
The IDF said that the missile had been fired by Iranian forces in Syria with the intention of hitting the northern Golan. The missile was intercepted by the Iron Dome.
