Hamas spokesman: Security cabinet decision 'a stab in the back' to Egypt
By JPOST.COM STAFF
Hamas has reportedly slammed a Wednesday security cabinet decision that no cease-fire in the Gaza Strip would be agreed to without the release of captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit.
Chinese news agency Xinhua quoted Hamas spokesman Ismail Radwan as saying the security cabinet decision was "a stab in the back to the Egyptian efforts" to broker a truce.
"Israel cannot extort us with these decisions, and we stick to our right to defend ourselves," Radwan said. "We are not in a hurry for a lull with Israeli standards."
