Defense officials assess high chance of Iranian missile response within hours
Defense establishment sources assessed that the likelihood of an Iranian response within hours, including missile launches, is increasing.
Sources told Walla that one of the objectives of the strikes was to remove threats to Israel’s home front, with an emphasis on missile launchers and bases used to operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The report said the strikes were expanding to additional locations in Iran, including Qom, Isfahan, Kermanshah, and Karaj.
The IDF continued to surge forces to bases and staff command headquarters. He added that Central Command was reinforced with five companies and that the military raised alert levels along Israel’s borders over concerns about attempted attacks.
There was also unusually heavy helicopter traffic over Israel as the IDF moved forces between arenas.
