A roadside bomb killed one British soldier and wounded three others in southern Iraq on Friday, the British military said.
The attack occurred around 1 p.m. local time at an intersection about 5 kilometers (3 miles) southeast of Basra, said Katie Brown, a spokeswoman for British forces in Iraq.
The soldier was not immediately identified.
