Instagram has closed the accounts of the heads of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Quds Force, according to reports.
On Tuesday, one day after the United States voted to officially designate IRGC as a terrorist organization, the photo and video-sharing social networking service owned by Facebook suspended the accounts of leaders Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Qasem Soleimani, as well as those of IRGC commander-in-chief Mohammad Ali Jafari and Brig. Gen. Mohammed Pakpour.
The reason for the suspension is unclear.
