Lebanese troops clash with Palestinian guerrillas

Lebanese troops clashed with Palestinian guerrillas near the Lebanese-Syrian border Wednesday, security officials said. The clashes between Lebanese soldiers and guerrillas of the Fatah-Uprising group erupted about three kilometers from the Syrian border, the Lebanese officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the media. One Lebanese soldier was seriously wounded in the battle, but it was unclear what caused the fighting.
