Middle East peace envoys to meet in London

International Middle East peace envoys are to meet next week in London, the US State Department said Friday. The Quartet of Middle East negotiators - the US, EU, UN and Russia - will review events in the region and talk about the goals of the mission of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who is now an international Middle East envoy, State Department spokesman Tom Casey said. Casey said Blair would not attend Tuesday's meeting, which would focus on "technical details." Casey also said he was unaware of any plans for Blair to meet with Hamas.
