Palestinian leader condemns Israeli attacks

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is condemning Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip Saturday during a visit to Saudi Arabia. The Palestinian leader said while in Riyadh that "there are no reasons for the Israeli raids." Abbas was in Saudi Arabia on a meeting arranged before the Saturday strikes on the Gaza Strip. He met with the Saudi leader, King Abdullah, during the one-day visit. Abbas said the talks focused on the Gaza attacks and that the Saudi leader promised to call US President George W. Bush and other leaders to ask them to push Israel to halt its operations.
